This Privacy Policy governs the use of My Scheduler (the "Application"), an academic utility tool developed by Pabitra Khandual. We prioritize user privacy through a decentralized, offline-first architecture, ensuring that the majority of your academic information remains solely under your control on your local device.

2. Information Collection

2.1 Personal Information

During the initial setup, the Application collects basic identity markers including your Full Name, Email Address, Registration Number, Academic Branch, and University Name. This data is used for profile generation and diagnostic synchronization.

2.2 Locally Stored Academic Data

The Application processes the following data exclusively within a local SQLite database:

• Curriculum schedules and timetable structures.
• Attendance logs and historical registries.
• Academic tasks, deadlines, and grade metrics.
• Semester results and GPA tracking data.

2.3 Technical Log Data

We may collect non-identifying technical data such as device model, OS version, and build levels to resolve software bugs and improve performance.

3. Data Usage

We utilize the collected information for the following purposes:

• Core Functionality: Automating your academic schedule, calculating attendance targets, and triggering notification alerts.
• Diagnostics & Support: We sync your profile (Name, Email) and activity logs to a secure Google Apps Script backend to assist in resolving technical errors and managing institutional support.
• Service Improvements: Aggregated, non-personal data is used to analyze feature usage and refine UI/UX.

4. AI Features & Third-Party Processors

4.1 Google Gemini AI

The Application utilizes Google Gemini AI for processing timetable data. When you paste timetable text into the AI Importer, this data is transmitted to Google's servers for structure analysis. Google acts as a sub-processor in this context.

4.2 Sub-Processors

We engage the following third-party services:

• Google Play Services: For distribution, updates, and telemetry.
• Google Apps Script: For diagnostic profile synchronization.

5. Application Permissions

To function correctly, the Application requires access to:

• Internet Access: For AI parsing and diagnostic sync.
• Notification Access: For class and task reminders.
• Alarms & Reminders: For precise time-sensitive warning sirens.
• Startup Execution: To reschedule alarms after a device reboot.

6. Data Retention

Local Data: Remains on your device until the Application is uninstalled or you manually clear data. Diagnostic Data: Synced profile information is retained for up to 24 months to ensure long-term support and bug tracking, after which it is anonymized or deleted.

7. Data Deletion Rights

In accordance with Google Play 2026 Policy, you have the right to request the deletion of your account and all associated data.

8. International Data Transfers

As the Application utilizes Google-based services (Gemini AI and Apps Script), your information may be processed in the United States or other jurisdictions where Google maintains servers. We ensure these transfers are governed by standard contractual clauses and high-encryption standards.

We implement a multi-layered security approach:

• At-Rest: Local data is protected by the device's native filesystem encryption.
• In-Transit: All data transmitted to sub-processors is secured via HTTPS/TLS protocols.
• Privacy-by-Design: We minimize data collection, only requesting information essential for service delivery.
